Great location for visiting the Shawnee National Forest (Giant City State Park), wine trail and also to visit the Panther Den Trail just 5 minutes away. The hiking is great. Keith and Becky and family were great (including fluffy dog).

My stay was beyond amazing! I found myself in Makanda looking for a getaway from the busy city life and found just that. Keith was very responsive through out our whole trip and was able to give us some stellar trail and winery recommendations! Would highly recommend this cozy cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway

This is the second of Keith's properties that we have stayed at and cannot recommend them enough! This property, specifically, is tucked away and so relaxing. We were blessed with a nice little rainstorm our second night and the pitter patter on the roof was amazing.
Tucked away, private, quiet, and so relaxing. We cannot recommend this more! Keith is also a fabulous host and gets back very quickly - there was never a point where we felt like we were on our own, even out in the middle of nowhere!
The pups were lovely greeters and we even got to make friends with the goats and barn cat. Highly recommend this location :)

Only stayed for one night for a local fundraiser gala. Keith was flexible with our check in which was perfect. Great location and easy to find. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin was clean, cozy, quiet, and had an amazing view. My wife and I truly enjoyed the space. Keith was quick to respond to any questions, and the place was extremely clean, easy to navigate, and felt very safe. We would highly recommend staying here

We stayed for 5 nights and had a great time! The Barn Bunkie had everything we needed. The animals always greeted us and were so sweet! Keith and Becky were great hosts.

Beautiful place! The animals on the farm were our favorite part of the stay. Very friendly and sociable. The host was very responsive and attentive. There were samples to try their homeaid coffee as well as bags to take home if you wanted which was a great experience. Would recommend visiting their beautiful farm!!

One of the most peaceful places I’ve stayed. I really enjoyed the farm animals and serenity of being in the country. The cabin its self was very clean and comfortable and was in great proximity to wineries and hiking trails.
